Good afternoon. As you may or may not be aware our elementary site in Pocasset went through a lockdown this afternoon. Many of the details are still unknown but we wanted to assure everyone that at no time was the school or any student ever in any sort of direct threat. It is our understanding that there was an incident at a business in Pocasset and out of an abundance of precaution we were directed by the Grady County Sheriff's office to initiate our lockdown procedures. By the time we dismissed school, we were given the all-clear and were able to dismiss as normal. We are very thankful to the Grady County Sheriff's Office and the Highway Patrol for their assistance and guidance during the situation.

A message from TUTTLE: Hello, We have your Varsity and JV teams traveling to Tuttle on Thursday, August 24 for volleyball matches. We will start at 4:30 and will play in our Greg Henning Activity Center gym located at 300 N. Cimarron in Tuttle. All parking will be on the south side of our high school building and entry for all groups will be on that south end as well. We use GoFan for online ticketing for all events. We do not accept cash for entry. If you could please pass along the following links to your volleyball coaches, parents, and fans and encourage them to please purchase their tickets beforehand, it will speed up their entry into the facility. The Josten's representative will be here Monday Aug. 21 @ 12:45 pm to discuss letter jackets, graduation announcements, and class rings. Order date will be Friday Aug. 25 @ 8:00 am.

We are happy to announce that our district has partnered with the Grady County Sheriff's Office to provide School Resource Officers (SROs) this school year. We are pleased to welcome Kylie Kutman to the Pocasset campus and Joe Beilouny to the Amber campus. They will be at each site daily and attend several of our activity events.

District Wide Open House Wednesday, August 16th from 5-6pm Elementary- Students may drop off their supplies and meet their teacher(s) Middle School/High School- Students can pick up their schedule at this time and meet their teachers
