Good morning Am-Po parents and guardians. This past spring, the Oklahoma state legislature passed a law that prohibits the use of personal electronic devices during the school day by students. The policy adopted by Amber-Pocasset Public Schools can be found at: https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/70/AmPo_Schools/13848/FNG_Personal_Electronic_Devices-Amended_8-4-25-C.pdf or by scanning the QR code on the attached informational flyer. The last page of the policy also has links to our online MS/HS and Elementary handbooks. You can look at pages 23-24 of the MS/HS handbook or page 20 of the Elementary handbook to see the changes. You can also navigate to www.amposchools.org and find each handbook as a link under "MENU". Usually with big changes, there come some growing pains. We look forward to helping you and your students navigate this new law as best we can during the school year.

Amber-Pocasset Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional. Job duties would include working with an individual student in the MS/HS in conjunction with a certified teacher. Applicants must submit to and pass a national OSBI felony background check. Job qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED and one of the following:
1. Associates Degree (or higher), OR
2. Completed at least 48 hours of study at an institution of higher education, OR
3. Parapro Certification or the ability to pass the Parapro certification test(district provided), OR
4. Passing score on the OGET

Additional training may be required after hiring. Any required additional training would be paid for by Amber-Pocasset Public Schools.

*All 7th grade students MUST have the Tdap vaccine to enroll or Certificate of Exemption

Proof of residency gas, water, or electric bill- Must be current (last 30 days)
